DATE: Art Deco, c.1930

Completely remarkable Art Deco period statement ring home to a 54ct (yes, fifty-four carat!!) natural aquamarine. The stone displays near perfect clarity, and a dreamy pale watery blue colour that comes alive as the light moves across the pavilion facets. It's secured by four flat claw mounts, with an elegant pierced gallery that (cleverly) matches up with the pavilion facets around each side. Control marks to the outer band  - dog and eagle head - indicate it's French-made, and crafted in 18 karat white gold with platinum setting. Circa 1930.
