Did you know there are three different species of peacocks?  The Indian, the Javanese and the Congo peacock to be specific.  And the Congo peacock was discovered in 1936 after a search that began in 1913 with the finding of a single feather.  Imagine having somebody looking for you for twenty-three years?  That's almost as romantic as these earrings!
